Dances and Emotes are some of the most recognizable things about Fortnite. Kids all over the world emulate these moves, allowing the game to bleed into real life. There's been some controversy in the past, and Epic Games has experienced some lawsuits due to them, but those days seem to have gone now. Season 2 Battle Pass Emotes The rarest emotes in the game are likely going to be those that came out in the Season 2 Battle Pass. The game had not blown up by then, and players were still getting used to purchasing a Season Pass like this. So, most of these dances and emotes will be owned by very few players. Floss, due to it being the latest in the Pass, is probably going to be the rarest Emotes in the game!
Ride the Pony, which used to be a part of the Season 2 Battle Pass has been given out to players that purchase Save the World. People who owned it from the Battle Pass were given the Pony Up Emote as a reward. That makes Pony Up a rarer Emote than Ride the Pony!

Top 50 Rarest Emotes Here's our list of the top 50 rarest Emotes in the game based on the last time they were seen in the item shop. This is really just the best method to at least put some logic behind figuring out which dance is the rarest. There are no official numbers released on purchases for cosmetics, so any list is just going to be compiled purely on speculation and anecdotal evidence. You will notice a theme with most of these, which is they are all rated fairly low. That's a good indicator as to why you haven't seen them in the shop that often. Epic likely only places cosmetics into the Item Shop often if they sell well. Items that don't sell well rarely return to the shop!
Holiday dances have been excluded from the list because they pretty much always return on their designated holiday.
